keeping cool in the pool

here are promised pics of the pool we have set up in the backyard this summer. we have enjoyed it a lot on the evenings and weekends and have been able to have several friends come over and join in the fun as well. peyton joins in the fun sometimes, as you can see, but we just came in from swimming and she didn't even ask to get in the pool, so perhaps she has had her fill.

It looks so refreshing - now, I am looking even MORE forward to getting ours - but, I know getting it set up will be a chore. Your pictures are great inspiration!

Oh - and I love the old school inner tube - we had those when I was a kid...did you buy that? I suspect PawPaw brought ours home from the oil field or something...

I bought two of them at academy b/c I didn't want to pay some bus to rent me one and pick me up at the end of a too long river float. I bought those and went to a spot in the river with 3 water falls and went over those and floated in that area for awhile.

They have some junkier ones (called river rats I think) that have styrofoam floats inside so it will stay up if it pops. Well, when my friends popped the tube stayed up, but couldn't support even a cooler.

So I bought this "super sport tube" model and it takes those rocks and bumps and heat with no problems with no problem.
